Investing in the Next Generation of Food Entrepreneurs
This fall, MRS Baking Distribution is proud to launch The MRS Grant, an annual initiative created to help one aspiring food entrepreneur open the doors to their first bakery, cafe, coffee shop, restaurant or food truck.
The recipient will receive up to $5,000 toward their initial wholesale baked goods order, along with valuable products, services and support from MRS Baking Distribution and our Founding Partners.
Why we are doing this
We Remember Starting Out.
In 1980, Marty and Roberta Borg started MRS Baking Distribution with one delivery route. Forty-five years later we work with more than 3,000 foodservice operations, and a great many of them were somebody’s first business once.
Opening a food business is hard in ways that have nothing to do with the food. The MRS Grant exists to take one piece of that off a founder’s plate.
